The towbarless aircraft tractors type AST-2 can move aircraft of up to 300 tons MTOW (e.g. A340-300) faster, safer, more flexibly and cost-effectively than conventional towing systems.
With the AST-2 F/L Goldhofer offers a high speed tractor, which covers all operations from pushback, repositioning, inter-gate towing up to long highspeed maintenance towing.
Especially for pushback operations Goldhofer offers a tractor with a reduced performance. The AST-2 R is a cost-effective alternative with two-wheel drive (as an option also with four-wheel drive). Due to the reduced technical efforts the AST-2 R offers lower acquisition costs and substantially reduced running costs without restricting its tractive power and load capacitiy.
